Stephen Francis Lynch is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Massachusetts's 8th congressional district since 2001. I want to make sure we don't see this suicide issue as just a D.C. VA Medical Center issue.

That decision was not political. That decision was based on the tragic facts, on the tremendous loss of life.
Would it be a cleaner solution for Congress just to impose a fiduciary duty on the part of the servicers so that they have to act in the best interest of the student who takes out the loan?
