I rise in support of H.R. 1722, the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010. I am pleased to offer for consideration this bipartisan legislation which seeks to improve and expand the access to telework for Federal employees in the executive branch, as well as for government employees within the Government Accountability Office. This is the third time this good governance bill has been debated on the House floor. Despite the evolving nature of the way the Federal Government conducts its affairs, telework, which allows an employee to regularly perform work in a remote location, continues to be woefully underutilized by Federal agencies.

The real purpose of the executive order was to provide the former President with the ability to dismiss, at start, at least 50,000 dedicated civil servants and replace them with political appointees and sycophants.
The non-partisan congressional Research Service also reports that floods are the most common and costliest natural disasters across the United States.
I introduced a bipartisan bill, the Saving the Civil Service Act, which would require any President must seek the approval of Congress before significantly expanding the accepted service in the civil service.
I strongly supported the independent investigations years ago of operations conducted by the ATF.
