I am really glad that all of you are here, and I am glad that we are getting a chance to talk about Type 1 diabetes and to meet some of the people who are speaking out for the one-and-a-quarter million Americans who have Type 1 diabetes.

So, basically, you are just saying let us bar any secondary market entities from offering a volume discount.

But then they turn around and oppose any form of Government intervention to help lower-income or minority borrowers. And I do not think you can have it both ways.

We cannot have a thriving mortgage market if small lenders do not have access and the big guys do.

We need thoughtful Government intervention to make sure that the mortgage market works for both small lenders and for creditworthy low-income borrowers.

I support ensuring equal access to the secondary market for small lenders, and I think it is critical that we get the details right on what it is going to take to make that happen.

I take it what you are saying is you want Congress to mandate that any secondary market entity treat all lenders equally.

But at this moment, more than 11 million families are paying more than half their income in rent.

The Trump budget would cut the funding for this Department by 60 percent.

Donald Trump wants to slash more than $6 billion from the HUD budget next year.

Wells Fargo did not come close to meeting those requirements.

The Wells Fargo board of directors is ultimately responsible for risk management at the bank.

The House needs to pass the sanctions bill now, and we need to get it over to the President to be signed.

I think any efforts to water it down or delay it should be considered a dereliction of duty on their part.

Ultimately, this comes down to how serious do we want to be about Russia's interference in our election?

Russia is actively working to destabilize countries along its borders and to undermine European Union and NATO.

I think the American people deserve better.

It is the policy of the United States to encourage workers to bargain collectively.

For decades, giant corporations and their buddies in Congress have waged attacks on unions.

These programs all work together to help keep people healthy, and... cuts or eliminations to any of these programs will really have effects that impact other areas.

I think this is just a powerfully important point, and I commend you and Senator Casey for pulling this together.

We all understand that nutrition is vitally important for health. So is access to health care.

I really appreciate your emphasizing the importance of the integration and how many low-income seniors rely on Medicaid to be able to stay as healthy as possible.

In Massachusetts, we have been working hard to keep health care costs low by focusing on both sides of the equation: on nutrition and near-universal health care coverage.

I am all for ending Government conservatorship, and I am certainly all for ending the old system where the private investors pocket all the profits while the taxpayers take all the risks.
