Wow. Well, you know, we must ensure that drug companies do not rely on tricks in order to avoid competition.
So, think about that. More than three out of four new patent applications for pharmaceuticals are for existing drugs.
But we also cannot lose sight of the ways that drug companies continue to abuse our intellectual property laws to drive out competition, to jack up prices, and to protect their profits.
