I believe, as you do in this document, that Russia's malign influence has to be countered, but the budget request is less than half of what Congress previously appropriated.
It would be a terrible shame if we followed this president, ignored the threats of climate change, and ceded our role in the global stage to other countries.
I speak in opposition to this amendment. The principal purpose of the Climate Action Now Act is to keep the United States in the Paris Climate Accord.
The equal footing amendment to the IRA, sponsored by Senator John McCain, 'put an end to the discriminatory practices that had been developing.'
Should the opportunity arise, we respectfully urge you to vote Yes on passage of this legislation.
Just as the Northwest Ordinance permitted new states to enter the Union on an 'equal footing' with existing states, Congress extended the same principle to tribes.
