Most ranching families in Point Reyes don't want to fight about the past.

Well, I am just going to tell you, I have met with a number of these from my home State of Louisiana. They are not comfortable with that assignment. Many of them feel like they are endangered and I feel like they have good reason to be.

Do you believe the DTSA provides sufficient remedies to discourage the theft of trade secrets?

I am glad to hear the gentleman openly acknowledge that not a single Democrat voted for the tax cut. I am sure the American people would love to hear that. Mr. Speaker, I yield 3 minutes to the gentleman from Ohio (Mr. Jordan).

I am pleased to yield 2 minutes to the gentleman from North Carolina (Mr. Walker), the distinguished chair of our Republican Study Committee.

I strongly oppose the tariffs on steel and aluminum.

I want to thank Congressman Sam Johnson for introducing H.R. 4423, and for Congressman John Carter, Jeb Hensarling, John Radcliffe, and Pete Sessions for their co-sponsorship.

I just want to thank this committee again for considering all these important priorities for our congressional district.

If this Congress is going to be serious about rebuilding our nuclear infrastructure, it must continue to express support for the long-term commitment of Barksdale Air Force Base and for the majority of the nuclear triad.

Why did you and the Administration ignore the view of Secretary Mattis and still go ahead with the tariffs?

DoD does not believe that the findings in the reports impact the ability of DoD programs to acquire steel or aluminum necessary to meet national defense requirements.

These tariffs pose a serious risk to our economy, they could trigger a trade war, and they may damage our relations with key allies.

I strongly oppose the tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.

I would like to take my remaining time to highlight the importance of NAFTA for Texas and the Nation as whole.

As you may know, I voted for the U.S.-South Korea Free Trade Agreement back in 2011 and since that time hundreds of thousands of jobs have been created right here in America from the trade agreement.

Is there a way to ensure that it is more carefully considered, or handled differently, in the future?

Hindsight is 20/20 I guess, right?

As a Louisianan, I am very grateful that the budget doesn't call for an outright elimination of GOMESA. But it does threaten the security of this critical funding for Louisiana by way of the public infrastructure fund proposal.

Mr. President, we need a nominee, and we need one now. America deserves nothing less.

We need to make sure that we both nominate and confirm and put somebody at the head of this vital agency for all of America.

This is a vital lifeline to the American citizens.

It is paramount that we put somebody in charge at the head of an agency, an agency where we have seen a 15 percent increase.

Mr. President, we need you to nominate a Commissioner now.

It is good to be with a committee that has a lot of authority and power.
