I appreciate that D.C. has successfully turned the page on the days of guidance and oversight from the Financial Control Board.

In Federalist 10, Madison stated that liberty is to faction as air is to fire, an element without which it will instantly expire.

Veterans should be afforded flexibility to use the benefits they righteously earned in a manner that best suits their individual needs.

I respectfully request your strong support of HR 1527, the Long-Term Care Veterans Choice Act.

I urge the Committee to mark up H.R. 3527 so that it can advance to the floor of the House for a vote.

This is a commonsense bill that allows us to provide greater care and access to needed full-time care, nursing home level care to our veterans at a lower expense to the people in our treasure.

The pandemic has also affected innocent newborn children.

If you are listening, cartels, and I am sure you are, you have very expensive attorneys, American-educated attorneys.

Isn't fentanyl, in its purest form, dangerous for canines?

We are going to try and help America understand how dangerous this stuff is.

Well, medical studies concur that a lethal dosage of pure fentanyl can be as low as 250 micrograms.

According to the DEA, China is the main source of both illicit manufacturing of pure fentanyl as well as the precursors that are being shipped to other countries like Mexico for manufacturing of fentanyl.

The opioid crisis is a symptom of a cultural crisis in our country. We have created--we have allowed to manifest a culture of dependency in America.

We need to get these drugs off the street. They are coming from China and Mexico; we know it.

More than 130 Americans die every day after overdosing on opioids.

This is costing a tremendous amount of American treasure.

As we know, the census is such an essential part of our government and of the operation of this country.

And so I want to work with the agency in every aspect of this.

I would request that the Bureau provide this committee with the names of the minority-owned subcontractor firms...

And so to have barriers in the place of these small businesses, it really doesn't make sense.

Having a healthcare card from the ACA does not mean having healthcare.

If the ACA had manifested well and Americans had not suffered the incredible increases in premiums and deductibles, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

We as Americans should be ashamed of what has transpired at these detention centers.

This disgraceful detention policy starts at the top, starts with President Trump, Stephen Miller, who initiated this policy.
