I noticed after he passed and years when I went back, I noticed that the embalming room, the door to the embalming room now has a big sign that says wear protective gear and formaldehyde may cause cancer.

It is undisputed that chemicals are a part of our daily lives from the food that we eat, the products in our homes, and in our children's toys.

Well, we certainly have an interest in formaldehyde considering the tens of thousands of trailers that contain formaldehyde that our people in Louisiana lived in after the storm.

For consumers, this gives them information they can use to make informed decisions.

The road to enlightenment, though, is not by holding more of these hearings.

It is not the words in the book that is the problem; it is the twisted human minds and the evil motives behind people that create this violence.

These hearings are not an assault against Islam. It is an assault against all Americans, especially Asian Americans.

We also know that violent extremism can be inspired by various religious, political, or other ideological beliefs.

I think that I would ask that we just not have blinders on and focus on just the Muslim community.

I believe that we need all reasonable options available in order to protect Americans and protect our ally, Israel, from an attack.

It is apparent from this testimony today that both Iran and Hezbollah pose a great threat--a threat to this country and also a threat to our ally, Israel.

How can we get more money under the new National Preparedness Grant Program to those high-risk urban areas that really need the resources than they may be currently receiving under the Urban Area Security Initiatives grant?

Even though we are in a tough economic time right now the funding in New York City was not cut at all. Detroit was cut by 45 percent. That seems disproportionate to me.

I have grave concerns that someone will likely try again.

Detroit is not 45 percent safer this year than it was last year.

It has been said that budgets reflect our values. This is absolutely true, and is more important than ever that we invest in priorities that are consistent with our character as a nation.

And I want to thank both sides and the authors for bringing this bill.

And that is simply what it does. And I would ask everyone to support it.

This body, this country, and the entire world lost a true gentleman in Donald Payne, and we lost a quintessential statesman.

If we can remember anything with his passing, we can rest assured that Donald Payne did what he was purposed to accomplish in his lifetime.
