I would urge all Members of Congress to support the passage of the Child Nutrition Act reauthorization in time for it take effect for the new school year this fall.
Direct marketing is enjoying a resurgence driven both by economic considerations, as well as the desire among consumers for better relationships with those involved in food production.
Entrepreneurial efforts of individual producers certainly drive success in direct marketing ventures.
I think it is accurate to point out that these types of questions were certainly never intended by Congress to be included in a mandatory Census of Agriculture.

The House of Representatives is committed to taking the necessary steps to create that transparent system.
Again, the changes that we have made towards openness, transparency have been phenomenal. And to have only one area of disagreement I think is a testament to how well this Committee worked together in a bipartisan fashion.
We would not have gotten to this point without everybody's bipartisan cooperation.
As Members of Congress, it is our duty to be good stewards with the tax dollars that we are entrusted with.
