Mike Pompeo is a Republican politician from Kansas who served as the 70th United States Secretary of State from April 2018 to January 2021 under President Donald Trump. Prior to his role as Secretary of State, he was the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from January 2017 to April 2018. Pompeo has also served as a U.S. Representative for Kansas's 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2017, where he was known for his strong stance on national security and foreign policy issues. Throughout his career, he has emphasized a robust approach to counterterrorism and has been an advocate for American energy independence.
I will fight to make sure that that does not happen, and obviously it will be the President's decision.
The United States strongly supports Georgia and Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
I will also push for the Chinese government to free those arbitrarily detained, including the families of RFA journalists.
The American people need to be represented at that table so that we can be part of that conversation.
I support the application of the Leahy law to any country's military found to have committed gross violations of human rights.
each and every human, not just Americans, each and every human being has an obligation to push back against this extremist use of violence from whatever faith.
Preventing terrorist attacks against the homeland and ending the conflict in Yemen are key components of our national security interests with respect to Yemen.
As I have said before, when we come across a country that is engaged in human rights violations, things that are inconsistent with our values, we should call them out.
