One of the reasons that I would strike section 124 is that it will then return BLM wilderness policy to the way that it has operated for 27 years until it was unilaterally changed by then-Interior Secretary Gale Norton in 2003 in the Bush administration. Now, the order that Secretary Salazar has issued directs BLM to develop recommendations to the Congress regarding wilderness land designations.…”
