Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States, serving from 1953 to 1961. A member of the Republican Party, he was born in Kansas and rose to prominence as a five-star general in the United States Army during World War II. Eisenhower served as the Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe, overseeing the successful D-Day invasion and the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi control.
It is the largest tax cut in history--an equivalent of about $180 for every family in America.
In this I know I speak for every American citizen, regardless of partisan or any other consideration.
We must never forget that the fortunes of all of us are tightly intertwined.
Our Nation extends the hand of friendship to all in the world who will grasp it in honesty and good faith.
Our farmers, like all the rest of us, want relief from oppressive taxation.
I am informed that Ambassador Davis has already arranged for assistance from the United States Armed Forces to survey the damaged area and lend all possible help.
