We cannot put the onus on public schools and not fund public education when it is the obligation of the government to see to it that our students are educated.

I commend you young people. But I remember when we grew up, poverty did not determine our education.

The fact that you went to a charter school is certainly a blessing, but that does not mean that the kids in a public school are not going to make it either.

I do not want to have the wrong impression being communicated here that this program is the be all and end all for the problems, and vouchers are the be all and end all for the problems of our school children.

My whole problem is that I can go get you some students in a public school, and they also went to college.
