I think it is very unfortunate that the Secretary of Education has said that they are not going to allow new students into this program.

We cannot put the onus on public schools and not fund public education when it is the obligation of the government to see to it that our students are educated.

The fact that you went to a charter school is certainly a blessing, but that does not mean that the kids in a public school are not going to make it either.

I commend you young people. But I remember when we grew up, poverty did not determine our education.
