The makeup of Iowa is large, in part, small, rural, Ag-based communities where those small businesses really do reinvest back into their communities.

I think it's important to point out when we do have failures in the system and then how do we correct those failures.
The Accountability in Women-Owned Small Business Contracting Act eliminates self-certification in the program.
The distribution of program resources must be made more consistent across all states, especially in our rural areas.
I think we need to modify the way we think about childcare because not everybody works a 9 to 5 position.
Earlier this year, I introduced the PROVEIT Act which will hold federal agencies accountable when they overlook important due diligence requirements as they impose sweeping regulations that maybe aren't right for small businesses.
