It is very important for the people of Hawaii.

I have introduced two bills in the House of Representatives to help deal with some of these issues.

the most important thing we have to do is to ensure that the public believes that we know what we're doing.

People believe in you. People want to see that whoever makes that decision doesn't have all these other things that they've got to think about.

a ballistic missile into Hawaii is an act of war, and I don't think you should be delaying notification

Addressing deferred maintenance is a huge priority that requires a significant dedicated funding stream.

What do you think is the total deferred maintenance that we, as Congress, should be concerned about?

It is the highest priority. I also want to emphasize again that it is important to address the other agencies' deferred maintenance needs.
