Coming from Hawaii, I completely understand the importance of fisheries and the need to find a balance between competing interests.

Our great fear is that the precedent established by allowing a road, a highway through an NCA is going to be a very difficult matter for us to deal with.

The most important thing we have to do is to ensure that the public believes that we know what we're doing.

I believe that it is essential that we, as a Nation, recognize our darkest moments, so that we don't have them repeat again.
