I yield myself 15 seconds. My good friend, the gentleman from Tennessee, decried politics, and then he started his remarks about politics. He talked about whether these judges were Republican judges and Democratic judges and gave numbers. In response to him, we are blaming activist judges, whether they are Democratically appointed or Republican appointees, who are attempting by judicial fiat to redefine our constitutional definition of marriage which has stood for 223 years. Mr. Speaker, I yield 1\1/4\ minutes to my good friend from Texas, who has been married to his lovely wife for 37 years, Judge John Carter.
