After hearing heartwrenching stories from families who had spoken about high costs and cancelled insurance, she asked, ``How could it be that everyone doesn't share your concerns?'' Well, Mrs. Clinton, everyone does share their concerns. And if the President would support the Michel plan or a bipartisan health care reform plan like Rowland-Bilirakis, we might be able to help these people. Instead, the White House continues to demand that health care reform include employer mandates that would cost America hundreds of thousands of jobs. Where is the First Lady's concern for those people who will be thrown out of work if the President's plan passes? Job loss has been estimated at over 1 million jobs under the Clinton plan. In my State of Georgia, job loss has been estimated at over 28,000 working Americans. Mrs. Clinton, we care about the people you heard from yesterday and we care about the American worker. Most importantly, we care about crafting a health care reform bill that will provide quality medical care to our citizens without costing so many American jobs. Mrs. Clinton, you can do better and you must.”
