Seventy million dollars security assistance for Palestinian Authority was requested in the President's budget for training, equipment, infrastructure for Palestinian security forces.

That is a bunch of bull.

I appreciate the opportunity to testify this morning before your committee.

It is time, Mr. Chairman, for this to end, and it is time for two government agencies to settle a 20-plus-year-old dispute and save money at the same time.

Israel is giving up real concrete concessions while other negotiating body is asking to give up little.

This is not new; we have made some changes to it, but we are bringing it back up. This will establish a results-orientated bipartisan commission made up of seven official members appointed by the President and Congress.

I recall the words of Senator Coburn. He came before this committee just a few months ago and he said that he never dreamed that the GAO would have published these reports and Congress wouldn't embrace all the recommendations.

I did not come to Washington to be a spotlight and simply shine a light and say here is a problem, there is another problem.

The current Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations remind me of the Israeli-Lebanon relationship.
