So under the rosiest of scenarios where there is--let's imagine this world--no bureaucratic red tape, no litigation, no weaponizing of the court system, and a well-functioning permitting system, we might get 155 gigawatts of new energy…

You have got families where people in their late 50s, early 60s, planned to retire, they can't do that now.

We are in a cost-of-living crisis.

I call it the income reduction act.

This idea that you are going to go to zero carbon emissions in the near future is a pipe dream.

Now, the truth is the IRA is going to create jobs, it is going to lower energy bills, create energy independence, improve health outcomes.

I cannot get a single Republican to support the People Over Petroleum Act...because at the end of the day, you all are not pro-market.

The permitting bill that just failed yesterday, why did it fail? Because the regulated electric utility...lobbied against it to kill it.

But to do that, we need policy reform, not just spending.

It is anticipated that the Inflation Reduction Act will create about 9 million jobs over the next decade.

I want to cheer for the Inflation Reduction Act because it is a significant step moving forward in meeting our goals of a net-zero emissions future.

I appreciate you pointing out that the Inflation Reduction Act is really targeted at working class, middle-class families.

This has a clean energy and climate piece, but what does this really mean for families?

It is critical that policymakers fully implement these laws and build upon them in coming years.

These have to be--these are targeted to working families, middle-class families.

The new law will also create millions of good-paying jobs.

Renewables like wind and solar are now the cheapest source of power.

The Inflation Reduction Act will put the United States on a path to reduce our heat-trapping pollution by roughly 40% by 2030.

Action to combat the climate crisis is urgent.
