I believe each and every American should determine what personal information to share with a corporation.

I also strongly support the bipartisan American Data Privacy and Protection Act, which would bring much-needed transparency to the brokerage industry and minimize the data available for them to collect.

There is no law right now that prohibits these data brokers from selling this data to malign foreign actors whatsoever?

We could set guardrails, Mr. Sherman, on--in addition to time limits on privacy settings.

We have the ability in the law to put some guardrails, to adopt some guardrails.

We need to ensure that the replacement is fully funded, and the process is fully transparent.

Implementing these new laws should be the Committee's highest priority.
