I am just a little bit shocked by the administration, what is it, 2 weeks ago, the President shot down and the administration, Keystone which they looked at for 3½ years.

Well, again, I am very concerned. I know the limited resources we have, the Coast Guard has, and to be doing cleanup work off of Cuba or for Cuba, just does not sit well with me.

I am not sure how you do that. And, again, I think they are outside the reach of the United States and Department of Justice.

We are in a horrible budget deficit situation here. We are spending over $1 trillion more than we are taking in a year.

This is the only way I believe that we will be able to move this administration toward a more proactive policy of ensuring that State Sponsors of Terrorism, as Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart so eloquently stated, and which Cuba is one of…

So, they will start as soon as they can.

So, probably within days, they will be actually drilling.

High-speed rail is a great idea. But what are you going to give up for everybody that rides it?

Recent polls, about two-thirds who have voted believe California should vote on the State high-speed rail project.

But the facts that have been presented in the past and we look at in the future raise tremendous concern.

I consider myself a strong advocate of high-speed rail.

Let's invest it in places that are going to have significant benefit by that investment.

We have to be very judicious with our--with the American taxpayer dollars, and not spend ourselves--we are in the shadows of Greece.

Not much has been done. And I understand a rule is about to be issued.

We should be running a larger number there, and also in the Northeast Corridor of passenger service.

People deserve more than a tented, hot--a facility that was a replacement for a storm.

I think that we should conduct some oversight.

What we don't want to do is spend that money in a half-baked process without a good plan to build the whole corridor.

But we cannot move forward until that is awarded.

We've lost our ambition, our imagination, and our willingness to do the things that built the Golden Gate Bridge and Hoover Dam.

High-speed rail is coming to America, because through 10 administrations, 10 Presidents, and 28 sessions of Congress, we got it done.

I believe he has been replaced. But the reports are that there is turmoil right now in Amtrak.

I believe that if the high-speed rail project in California is not going to get moving quickly, then that money ought to be diverted to shovel-ready projects that would be committed quickly.
