Linda Thomas-Greenfield is an American diplomat currently serving as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, a position she has held since February 2021. I believe Palestinian efforts to join international entities are premature and counterproductive.
The U.N. is uniquely poised to take on our shared global challenges from countering terrorism, to promoting the rights of women and girls.
If confirmed, I will push for reforms to the U.N. in order to make it more efficient, effective, accountable, and fit for purpose.
The United States has and should continue to build a strong and deep relationship with the United Nations.
If confirmed, as a member of the Biden Cabinet, I would report to the President but would work in lockstep with the Secretary of State.
Secretary Blinken and I have made clear that genocide has been committed against the Uyghurs in Xinjiang.
Not paying our bills really does diminish our power, and it diminishes our leadership.
These atrocities shock the conscience and must be met with serious consequences.
