Frankly, I am concerned. I think any broadcaster reaching more than 70 percent of United States households would be unprecedented.

What we see on the screen says so much about who we are as individuals, as communities, and as a Nation.

If we can map those places as a community, I think that we will all contribute to solving this problem faster.

I think our standard should be 100 megabits because I think you have to set big goals if you want to do audacious things.

I think it is incumbent on the FCC now to understand what the impact of these weather events has been on our Nation's networks

We should be pouring every resource we have to fix it.

Yes. That is the simple answer.

But now, we have to charge. We have to stay charged. We have to make sure that our cell towers have power too.

I think kids not being able to do their homework is probably the cruelest part of our Digital Divide.

You cannot manage problems you do not measure. Our maps are now 3 years out of date.

I am proud to have worked on spectrum policies for both licensed and unlicensed airwaves that have made this country's wireless markets competitive, innovative, and strong.

E-rate is absolutely vital. It is the best tool we have to reach every school and every student in this country with the broadband they need for modern education.

There are 2.7 million children in this country who have a parent in prison, and we know that recidivism is affected by the ability to stay in close contact with family.
