The time to act is now. I would urge all of my colleagues to cosponsor The Death Tax Inflation Adjustment Act.

While many of us in Congress would like to eliminate the death tax entirely, I hope we can all at least agree that the value of this important benefit should never again be eaten away by inflation.

Despite a tax system that discourages savings, many American families work hard to set aside a portion of their earnings because they hope to be able to leave something to their children.

Therefore, Mr. Chairman, I urge everyone's support of H.R. 883.

I believe it is important for Congress to codify this requirement into law.

I support H.R. 883, The American Land Sovereignty Protection Act and am in favor of its passage.

The reason I support this legislation is because it will place constraints on the Clinton/Gore administration's ability to exercise more Federal land control.

My main concern is not the United Nations. The United Nations has no more authority than we choose to give it.

This legislation will go a long way in preventing that.
