As long as IPAB is allowed to exist, access to care for seniors and those with disabilities will forever be in jeopardy.

I strongly believe in the competitive forces of the private market, the process by which the competition is conducted must be fair.

While I believe that market approaches hold great promise for improving the situation, my intent is to use the information we learn from this hearing as a starting point for further assessment of the consolidation issue.

The Medicare program is in dire need of reform and improvement so that it meets the health care needs of its beneficiaries in the 21st century.
