I believe that we are at a significant crossroads in the purposes to which the national parks will be put, and whether we are going to continue to honor the promise that has been honored to the American people for the past 150 years that public lands, in particularly Yosemite, will be there for the public use, resort, and recreation for all time, or whether it will be turned to a radically different purpose that is, at its core, exclusionary and elitist.
