Well, that wasn't a proposal. That was a decision that has been made.

We must remain strong and free of illusion.

We must and will dedicate ourselves as a Nation to continue this effort, and to stand in solidarity with those who resist, until the blessings of democracy, freedom, and respect for human dignity are assured throughout the world.

I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.
