Ronald Reagan: “John F. Scruggs has served with dedication and skill in his previous roles.”

If we ever closed the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost.

Rather than making them or talking about putting up a fence, why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems, make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit, and then, while they’re working and earning…

Let us always take with us the spirit of vision, skill, and excellence.

America is the shining city on the hill. Welcome all who enter to follow their dreams.
