The argument goes that what we must do is to turn the situation completely around, that the ideal that we should try, to achieve is to return our country and return man basically to his natural state as nearly as we possibly could, and that if that were the case that we would all be much better off. I know that is a popular proposition. It just doesn't happen to be true.
