Richard Nixon: “Shall it be peace with surrender or peace with honor? I say peace with honor for America.”

I am firmly convinced that the record, in its entirety, does not justify the extreme step of impeachment and removal of a President.

I am pleased that in this bill the Congress has expressed support for our objectives by authorizing $22.2 billion for military procurement purposes during fiscal year 1975.

This, more than anything, is what I hope will be my legacy to you, to our country, as I leave the Presidency.

This house has a great heart, and that heart comes from those who serve.
