Today prescription drug abuse is a deadly, serious, and rapidly escalating problem all across our Nation.

I still feel strongly that a national baseline privacy law is the best way to ensure consumers have basic common sense and permanent rights over the collection and use of their information.

This legislation can't protect everybody at every time in every instance but it can go a long way to protecting people.

There are no easy answers or quick fixes when it comes to protecting consumer privacy online.
