I would like to expand just a bit on why I think that $250, even though it is not very much money, it is enough. When people are poor, if they cannot count on the money coming in, they cannot budget. But if they know what is coming in, they can budget a lot better than a hit-and-miss proposition; sometimes the money comes in and sometimes it does not. That is why I am going to try very hard to have income assurance, which is a new concept in this Nation.
