This is unacceptable.

I believe that this is a perfect illustration of precisely why Congress needs to assert its authority and make clear once and for all that smoking is unacceptable in the medical facilities where our veterans seek care every day.

For too long thousands of veterans throughout Kern County have patiently awaited a new community-based outpatient clinic.

The taxpayers are now getting ripped off. The veterans are now being denied, and the person causing it all is being rewarded.

Because he protests, he doubles his rent. Because he doubles his rent, the veterans are denied a new facility.

I've watched this president. I've listened to this president. He does not want foreign governments interfering in our election, and he has been very strong about that.

Let me be clear. Republicans have never supported the DSH cuts and worked successfully to prevent them.

The commission has long held that DSH payments should be better targeted to hospitals that serve a high share of Medicaid-enrolled and low-income uninsured patients.

I am pleased to see the bipartisan commitment to continuing to fund the Excellence in Mental Health Demonstration.

It's my honor to be able to present what I think is a great bill that can be bipartisan, and one that benefits all.

If we're able to sign this legislation into law, then supercomputers would be used to analyze VA health data and look for patterns that will help improve the medical treatments for our heart disease, traumatic brain injury, and cancer.
