Is that appropriate actions by any President, yes or no?

If someone were to say I will appoint a special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt President in the history of the United States of America, would that be lawfare?

Apparently, he wants to use his power as President to weaponize the Department of Justice and every other Federal agency to go after his enemies, political or otherwise.

The transcripts have been available since last April, Mr. Chair. Last April. It has been over a year.

Why are we censoring the information?

I am trying to understand the question before us is--the committee wants to suppress information.

The zero-emission vehicle mandate was mandated by Governor George Deukmejian, a conservative Republican from Fresno.

The California Clean Act was signed by Governor Ronald Reagan.

The Clean Air Act that allows California to do what it has done, as I have mentioned to this committee before, was signed by Richard Nixon.

Brookings did a study just a year ago that said that, in the U.S., the fossil-fuel industry gets direct subsidies, tax credits, of $500 billion a year.

The Sentinel program, which is the replacement of the Minuteman III, is at least $130 billion over the next decade to 15 years.

Current modernization plans are not necessary to maintain a capable deterrent for the foreseeable future.

We in Congress have a duty to allocate the taxpayer dollars on programs in a responsible manner that avoids unnecessary and excessive expenses.

We must demand that the Department of Defense do an honest and thorough analysis, as required by the Nunn-McCurdy breach.

We need to divide these two issues.

There is no doubt we had an insurrection. There is no doubt we had a riot.

We could do away with that.

The IIJA has provided more money for infrastructure of all kinds, including transportation, than ever, ever before in the history of this Government.

He would use the Government to suppress speech which, presumably, is what you are arguing for, free speech.

The Government does have awesome power. It tends to be used in an inappropriate way.

If we are going to be successful here, we need to have a large alliance in place, all that are interested in the shipping in the area.

I urge you to terminate that provision. 1983. Waived almost all of the Buy America requirements.
