More from Herbert Hoover
His services to country were so varied and valuable as to earn the gratitude of the Nation and his character won him the high regard of a host of friends.
I have today signed the bill authorizing the transfer of the cases of juvenile delinquents from the Federal system of criminal justice to juvenile courts in their home communities, provided these juvenile courts are willing to accept them.
But beyond platforms and measures there lies that sacred realm of ideals of hopes and aspirations, those things of the spirit, which make the greatness and the soul of the Nation.
While many of the taxes are not as I desired, the bill will effect the great major purpose of assurance to the country and the world of the determination of the American people to maintain their finances and their currency on a sound basis.
