We are currently developing our fifth consecutive, bipartisan, WRDA bill.

This infrastructure that we have throughout our Nation is aging. We know that. We absolutely have to continue to invest, I believe, in clean drinking water and watersheds to protect water quality.

Thank you for your testimony, Mr. Case, and I understand what climate change is doing to all of the United States.

The West is facing serious water supply challenges due to the drought.

Thanks to the Biden Administration--we secured $1.1 billion in funding for Everglades restoration through the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

We need to ensure that the historic funds in the Jobs Act and the Build Back Better Act are used to help all communities realize a future without toxic contamination.

These are historic times in Congress.

The Jobs Act provides over $12.7 billion in critical infrastructure assistance to States and local communities to rebuild their crumbling wastewater systems.

I have bills to increase federal support for water recycling, including a bill that will help support large-scale water recycling projects.

To me, helping us--and I want to acknowledge Representative Napolitano, and her bill, H.R. 4099, on the large-scale water recycling projects and continuing to invest in Title XVI water.

We can't do it alone. We need you to help at the Federal level.

This is such an important topic and one that I have been invested in well before I came to Congress.

Without water, there is no business. Without water, there are no jobs.

I'm looking forward to hearing from our witnesses about these and other contaminants of emerging concern and how we can better prepare and educate our communities and hopefully achieve progress in this realm.

Your enforcement action was based on a simple premise--PFAS dischargers must disclose their pollution to permitting agencies.

Water quality and protection of our surface water resources is not a partisan issue.

Thank you for making a commitment to aggressively address per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Our groups are on record strongly supporting the Clean Water Standards for PFAS Act of 2021.

Simply put, we cannot allow upstream polluters to introduce dangerous pollutants into our waterways at the cost of everyday citizens and businesses.

The last administration needlessly weakened Clean Water Act protections over rivers, our streams, and our wetlands that provide drinking water to over 117 million Americans.
