Mr. Speaker, H.R. 2201, introduced by the gentleman from Colorado (Mr. Udall), would authorize the establishment of a national database for purposes of identifying, locating and cataloging the many public memorials and permanent tributes to America's veterans of armed service. Once completed, this database will provide our Nation with an excellent educational resource for future generations to learn about the contributions made by members of our Armed Forces. It will also serve as yet another reminder of the sacrifice so many Americans have given to defend our country and the freedoms that we hold so dear. Mr. Speaker, H.R. 2201 is supported by the majority and minority of the committee, and I urge adoption of the bill.
