California will sue to stop this latest illegal action by a President who is a wholly-owned subsidiary of big polluters.
Turns out, chasing hard working people through ranches and farms and snatching women and children off the streets is not good policy.
Today is a big day for the Constitution of the United States, for our democracy.
The National Guard will be redeployed to what they were doing before Donald Trump commandeered them.
California may be first – but it clearly won’t end here. Other states are next. Democracy is next.
Trump and his loyalists, they thrive on division because it allows them to take more power and exert even more control. And by the way, Trump, he’s not opposed to lawlessness and violence, as long as it serves him.
Authoritarian regimes begin by targeting people who are least able to defend themselves. But they do not stop there.
This is about all of us. This is about you. California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared has arrived.

The Founding Fathers did not live and die to see that happen in this country for no reason whatsoever other than vanity theater to instill fear, to incite a response.
