What we are striving for here though is a financial guarantee in most instances, not all, but most, because again, the evidence clearly shows that the financial guarantee is much more likely to ensure the defendant's return to court or an appearance in court to stand trial on the initial charges, No. 1, and much less likely to commit a subsequent crime while free on release.
