I believe affirmative action is outdated. Affirmative action, contrary to what several speakers have suggested, is no longer a black and white issue, certainly not in California, the largest, most diverse State in our Union. Because the cultural makeup of America is changing, the argument that affirmative action serves as some sort of reparation for past wrongs... no longer stands. Indeed, often, those most hurt by affirmative action are not white males, but rather Asian women.
