You had all the power in the world to indict anyone that you had evidence to indict, and you were never blocked from doing it.
I want to just start by thanking you for your many years of service to our country as a Federal prosecutor.
I think the lesson here is that this issue is complicated. It involves human beings who are leaving everything.
If you were to think about the migrants who are fleeing the Northern triangle... do you believe that if we were to find a way, as a global alliance, public-private partnerships, to help invest in those countries in their economic…
So you have someone who is acting unlawfully and somebody who skips a Congressional subpoena, and we are going to be lectured by the Majority about a dereliction of duty.
I have heard the phrase rule of law and accusations that the Biden administration is sabotaging the rule of law.
It is very interesting to me that the chief witness that the Majority has called here, Mr. Wolf, was found on November 14, 2020, by a Federal Judge to 'not lawfully be serving as Acting Secretary.'
I have worked with our FBI field office for many years about trying to lend more Federal resources to local law enforcement so that they can crack down on retail crime.
My promise to you as the representative of Pleasanton, California, where his murder took place is to be an advocate for justice.
