Ed Royce: “This is not the first time America has put down a red line on chemical weapons.”

But it does meet, in my personal opinion, the definition of genocide.

This bill is an excellent next step in countering this vile trade and will bring us one step closer to ensure that life and human dignity are respected.

I urge we use this responsibility and adopt this resolution.

These efforts build on previous U.S. sanctions as well as those by Canada, the European Union, and Switzerland.
