The basic question before us today is not, 'What is Iran's intentions?' I was a first lieutenant in 1979. I have lived through Iran's intentions for longer than most people in this room have been alive. It is very, very clear that Iran's intentions are to continue being a disruptive force to peace and security in a region in which they live and extended well beyond.
