On the recordNovember 18, 2015
I join fellow Members of the Lebanon Caucus to request a moment of silence for the victims of the bombings in Beirut, Lebanon, on November 12, 2015, that claimed the lives of at least 43 people and injured over 200. In addition to those lost in France on November 13, and in Egypt on October 31, almost 400 murders have been claimed by ISIS in the period of less than 2 weeks. I invite my colleagues to join the gentleman from New York (Mr. Hanna), my friend, who introduced the resolution today condemning the attack and showing our support for Lebanon. I thank the Chair for this opportunity to remember the innocent lives lost at the hands of ISIS terrorists, and I urge the administration to do everything in its power to bring those responsible to justice. Mr. Speaker, I ask for a moment of silence. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Members will rise and observe a moment of silence. ____________________
