If we assume for a moment that the charter of ICANN is or should be the interest of commerce--in other words, a fiduciary obligation to promote commerce, not to enrich themselves, or even enrich people who sell the names--then is there any real excuse to have a $2,500 price tag on any, absolutely any name at all?
