I am glad for their support. I am happy they have taken a position, and my feeling is that if we can have a freestanding bill, H.R. 4, passed, I can't see how it wouldn't be passed in the Senate.

I think it is illogical to suggest that giving them increased mobility in the market in which they are allowed to come into the United States would not have a tendency to increase wages.
We have an obligation not only to make those tough decisions, but to make those decisions explainable and understandable to our constituents.
I don't view that as a criticism, I view that as a maturation of our responsibilities in a fiscally challenging time.
I do think it did cross a Rubicon and certainly serves as a harbinger of what we are going to be looking to in the future.
