“I would just like to take this opportunity to congratulate the gentleman from Florida [Mr. Weldon] on the leadership he has been providing on this vital part of America's space effort. The shuttle at this moment is a piece of technology that we depend upon. The gentleman from Florida [Mr. Weldon] has been making it his job to make sure that America gets the best use out of this technology. He is focusing today on safety but he has provided leadership in a number of areas concerning the shuttle. I would just like to congratulate him and rise in support of his amendment.”
