I would like to now talk a few minutes about another issue that is, I believe, perhaps just as disturbing as anything we were talking about in terms of what is going on down at the White House. The issue I am talking about is whether or not the American patent system will survive as was envisioned by our Founding Fathers and whether the patent rights of the American people will be protected or whether the patent rights as we know them will just totally be destroyed and another system, totally alien to the patent system of the United States, superimposed on us, destroying our rights as Americans and hurting our ability to compete and to produce new technologies. I have spoken on this so many times that everywhere I go people are asking me, how is it possible that after I have given so many speeches and I have been on so many talk shows that Congress still may pass, and there is a very good chance that this bill still may pass when it comes to the floor, and that is H.R. 3460, I call it the Steal American Technologies Act.
